We are very pleased to have Professor Antony Anghie, Samuel D. Thurman Professor of Law at S.J. Quinney College of Law, The University of Utah, as our keynote speaker for the workshop.

 

Professor Anghie is an active voice of the movement Third World Approaches to International Law and is the author of the seminal text: Imperialism, Sovereignty and the Making of International Law (Cambridge University Press, 2005).

 

Professor Anghie received a B.A. (1986) and an LL.B. (1987) from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia before earning his S.J.D. (1995) at Harvard Law School, where he also served as a senior fellow from 1993 to 1995. Professor Anghie completed an internship with the International Monetary Fund in Washington, D.C. in 1994, and joined the S.J. Quinney College of Law in 1995.
